Kayden Rall of Mrs. Mardis’ class won third place in the Tri-County Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, February 22. His experiment was entitled “Naked Egg,” and included testing on whether temperature makes a difference on how fast an egg loses its shell when exposed to vinegar. In addition to winning third place, Kayden also received recognition from the American Chemical Society. Congratulations, Kayden!
Preparations are underway for the 2014-15 school year. You may enroll your incoming kindergartener on March 13, 4 PM - 6 PM. You will need the child's birth certificate, immunization records, parent photo ID, and gas or electric bill for enrollment. Don't miss Kindergarten orientation on April 30, 6 - 7 PM. Please be looking for a letter from your child’s teacher regarding a change in the date for our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences. Most of our classrooms will be moving conferences to March 11 and March 12 due to the number of snow days this quarter. We value this time to meeting with you regarding your child’s progress.

Yearbook order forms went home with every student on Friday, January 10. Full color yearbooks are $15, black & white yearbooks are $10. Parents continue to be welcome to have lunch with their child at school. However, parents need to send in a note before other visitors can come to school for lunch with your child.
